General Rules:

• For 2024 there will only be two ways to sign up for tournaments:
  • In the Pro Shop or online at https://tallgrassmensclub.com/
    • Groupme is not an option for sign ups
• The deadline for most tournaments is now 12pm the Wednesday before.   *some have different deadlines so please make sure you check.
• All members must carry a valid GHIN handicap to participate in tournaments. For any guest events, guests must have a valid GHIN or Valid handicap app with 10 rounds within a year of the event. If a player does not have a handicap player will play as a 0 handicap.
• Players signed up before the deadline will be included in the field.  Players wanting to sign up after will be included based on need and availability.  This will be a hard deadline and the Pro Shop will not make any exceptions.
• Players will be charged if they cancel or do not show up after the sign-up deadline unless the open spot can be filled.
  • Under certain circumstances, this rule will not apply.
• Many tournaments will require the election of tees at sign up.  If you do not elect, you will default to the blue tees (or white tees during the senior CC).   You will not be able to change your tees after the deadline to sign up.
  • The sign-up deadline and election of tees will allow the Pro Shop time to try and find players to round out fields when necessary and make scorecards in advance.
• Only dues paying members will be eligible for club championships, Tallgrass Cup, Match Play and Member Guests.
• Weather and unforeseen circumstances may warrant changes in scheduling, but everything will be done so that no tournament dates change.
• Requests for early or late tee times or certain pairings will not be honored so please do not ask the Pro Shop to do so.
• For all tournaments where different tees can be elected:
  • Any player may play the Black or Blue Tees
  • You must be 55  or older to play the White Tees
  • You must be 69 or older to play the Gold Tees
• Rule Sheets will be provided for each tournament with some specific rules for that format.   USGA rules will always apply except as noted

• The Tallgrass Men’s Club has adopted USGA local rule E-5 which effectively applies the Local Out of Bounds Rule to balls that are lost in unmarked areas on the Course.

  • Rule E-5 will apply to all tournaments except the Club Championships.

  • During the Club Championships players will play balls out of bounds and lost balls in accordance with USGA Rules.

These Rules do not apply to Men’s League, Couples Golf or the Ladies Tournaments
